At the annual JCCC Clubbies, student organizations and clubs are able to receive recognition for their service projects, members, advisors and more. On May 1, 2026, clubs and organizations like LUNA, BSU, HSA, PTK, JCSVA, ACSA and more were nominated. Here are the nominees and winners.

The Clubbies created a beautiful afternoon of celebration, recognition and friendly competition.

“I’m super proud of them,” Mya Lawrence, Student Life and Leadership Development Manager, said.

Lawrence helped organize the funding side of things for the event, but Tony Wong and Natalie Koenig put together the entire event.

“That’s what the Clubbies is–to celebrate them,” Wong, Co-chair of Student Senate, said.

The celebration during the event was clearly evident in each cheer-filled announcement. LUNA left with two awards, one for Outstanding Student Organization and the other for their service project, “The Asylum Clinic KC.”

“We’re just a club [that] showcases our culture [and] shares [it] with other people. We’ve done a lot of collaborations with BSU, so that’s been a great partnership, and I think it’s a good way where we’re able to connect and find out similarities. Even though we have different backgrounds, we’ll find different ways where we can connect,” David Gabaldon, LUNA’s advisor, said.

Wong and Koenig hope to see the Clubbies continue to grow. To nominate individuals, clubs or organizations for the Clubbies, you do not need to be a part of the club or organization. So when nominations open again, make sure to nominate those hard-working individuals or clubs on campus that deserve to be recognized.
