American Sign Language/Deaf Studies

We offer American Sign Language classes, ASL Linguistics, ASL Literature, and Introduction to the Deaf Community. There is a large Deaf community in Olathe. Museum of Deaf History, Art and Culture in Olathe is the only museum in the United States which offers an opportunity to learn about the advantages of signed languages for all humans, whether Deaf or non-Deaf and to elevate Deaf humans’ stories. Taking those classes will be a great benefit to learning more about the Deaf Community.
