Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship

The Gilman Scholarship Program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, is an undergraduate program for U.S. citizens of limited financial means to enable them to study abroad, thereby internationalizing their outlook and better preparing them to thrive in the global economy.

Hispanic Scholarship Fund

The Hispanic Scholarship Fund empowers students and parents with the knowledge and resources to successfully complete a higher education, while providing support services and scholarships to as many exceptional students, HSF Scholars, and alumni as possible. To qualify for this scholarship, you must:

  • Be of Hispanic heritage.
  • Have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
  • Enroll full-time at an accredited four-year college during the fall following scholarship application.

JCCC International and Immigrant Student Services Scholarship

The JCCC International and Immigrant Student Services Scholarship recognizes international and immigrant students whose goals are to serve their community and demonstrate relevant institutional/community engagement. To qualify for this scholarship, you must:

  • Have strong academic records.
  • Be currently enrolled at JCCC.
  • Be degree seeking.
  • Have completed a minimum of one semester at JCCC.
  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Provide a copy of unofficial transcripts (including GPA) from all US colleges and universities attended.
  • Complete and submit the JCCC scholarship application.
  • Provide an essay that describes your educational and professional goals, reason for deserving this scholarship, your JCCC campus and/or community involvement, contributions and leadership experience, and how JCCC has contributed to your educational and professional goals.
  • Provide the names and email addresses of two references.


Out of State/International Campus Involvement Award

The Out of State/International Campus Involvement Award recognizes exceptional campus involvement in clubs or organizations. To qualify for this scholarship, you must:

  • Be a JCCC credit student assessed out-of-state/international.
  • Be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours.
  • Have a minimum GPA of 2.0.
  • Not be a member of the Student Senate.
  • Complete student organization membership verification form from each organization in which you participate.
  • Complete the Out-of-State/International Award Application, containing a 2-3 page double-spaced essay describing your campus involvement with examples and reasons for deserving the award.
  • Submit a letter of recommendation from an advisor or member of a student organization in which you are involved.
