Performing Arts Scholarships

Beverly R. and Harvey S. Bodker Scholarship for Students of the Performing Arts

The Beverly R. and Harvey S. Bodker Scholarship is awarded to exemplary students of the performing arts based on talent auditions or portfolio review and the student’s willingness to contribute to theatrical productions. To qualify for this scholarship, you must:

  • Submit the JCCC Admissions Application.
  • Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  • Submit the JCCC Scholarship Application.
  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Be enrolled in at least 9 credit hours.
  • Be enrolled in at least 1 theatre course.

Dunham Musical Scholarship

The Dunham Musical Scholarship is awarded to instrumental and vocal music students with talent. Selection is based on audition and enrollment in selected program of study as established with a faculty adviser. To qualify for this scholarship, you must:

  • Submit the JCCC Admission Application.
  • Submit the JCCC Scholarship Application.
  • Have a minimum GPA of 2.0.

S A Music Scholarship

The S A Music Scholarship recognizes students with musical talent. To qualify for this scholarship, you must:

  • Submit the JCCC Admissions Application.
  • Submit the JCCC Scholarship Application.
  • Have a minimum GPA of 2.5.
  • Participate in an audition.

S A Theater Scholarship

The S A Theater Scholarship recognizes students with acting or technical talent. To qualify for this scholarship, you must:

  • Submit the JCCC Admissions Application.
  • Submit the JCCC Scholarship Application.
  • Have a minimum GPA of 2.5.
  • Be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours.
  • Be willing to contribute to theatrical productions.
  • Submit a portfolio.
  • Participate in a talent audition.

TEK Productions Scholarship

The TEK Productions Scholarship recognizes Phi Theta Kappa members who are majoring in fields leading to careers in production and/or event management. To qualify for this scholarship, you must:

  • Be enrolled in a minimum of six (6) semester credit hours [or nine (9) quarter credit hours] of associate degree, college-level coursework at the time of application.
  • Be an active member of Phi Theta Kappa in good standing.
  • Hold a minimum of a 3.50 cumulative GPA out of a possible 4.0 on all college-level coursework at the time of application. GPA is evaluated at the time of application, and no courses can be marked as incomplete. You must maintain GPA until transfer to four-year college.
  • Be majoring in production, event management, theater, performing arts, graphic design, video editing, stage management, or a similar major.
  • Be enrolled at least part-time in an associate, certificate, or bachelor’s degree program in the semester following application.
  • Hold temporary of permanent residency in the country of the college OR must possess a visa considered appropriate by the college.

Vol-Star Theater Scholarship

The Vol-Star Theater Scholarship recognizes talented theatre students. To qualify for this scholarship, you must:

  • Submit the JCCC Admissions Application.
  • Submit the JCCC Scholarship Application.
  • Be a second-year student.
  • Have a minimum GPA of 2.5.
  • Be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours.
  • Be willing to contribute to theatrical productions.
  • Submit a portfolio.
  • Participate in a talent audition.
