Kim Fuller, CSIT Healthcare Information Systems program adjunct professor and JCCC Adjunct Council member, participated in the 2nd annual SynergiED23 Conference held August 14, 2023.

Congratulations to Sean Roberts on his new position as Chief Technology Officer at The University of Kansas Health System! Sean is on the JCCC CSIT Healthcare Information Systems Program Advisory Board.

 

Congratulations to JCCC CSIT Healthcare Information Systems program advisor, internship host and student mentor, Jonathan Smith on his new position as Director of the Lawrence – Douglas County Health Department!

 

Information Technology-Networking, Cybersecurity, and Cloud

The Information Technology program is working on re-designation of the National Center of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity for Cyber Defense (CAE-CD) designation. The Information Technology-Networking, AAS program was recently approved by the National Security Agency through academic year 2028. The second part of re-designation will occur this Fall 2023.

 

Web Development and Digital Media – WEB

WEB is happy to announce the addition of full-time faculty member Alexa Summers who has joined their ranks this Fall semester.

 

The WEB department has two students currently interning for the Fall 2023 semester. Terra Brunton will be working as webmaster for Cynthia Lukas, a local independent filmmaker. Anthony Williams is working at Sporting KC as an AV Technician.
