WordTech developed a general purpose workflow/project management product called DocMinder®.  It was 1st released 10 years ago. Clients are mainly large to mid-size businesses; legal, HR, compliance, accounting, etc. departments.

We have developed a web version of the product to be released but needs improvement on the user interface.

The goal is intuitive usability by business level people but also we want to transform the solution into a cloud application used by the masses.

We are looking for someone with the following skills/experience:

  • Develop business web based user interfaces that are clean and easy to use.
  • This is a c# .net, SQL Server stack, webforms with the Telerik UI for ASP.net
  • Experience with HTML 5, css, bootstrap, angularjs and Telerik controls.
  • Experience with .net and Visual Studio is a plus.

Will work closely with our team that is responsible for detailed requirements for the overall vision of design.

We use  https://www.invisionapp.com/ for prototyping collaboration.

Must have Excellent communications/collaboration skills and Proactive at reaching out to the requirements team to prevent miscommunications.

Projects to be delivered in Visual Studio 2015, ASPX.net format.

Job Description

The Department of Technology and Innovation (DTI) for Johnson County Government will be hiring two (2) full-time Technical Support Analysts to help staff the DTI Support Center.  The duties of the Technical Support Analyst II are as follows:

  • Provides support and resolution for users with hardware, software and configuration problems; resolves user-reported problems as expertise permits using available tools and following established procedures and policies.
  • Directs issues to the appropriate personnel for service, repair, and training;  maintains record of daily data communication transactions, problems, and actions taken or installation activities;  provides follow-up contact to users reporting technology related problems and issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Installs, configures, tests and operates a desktop and other peripheral equipment; ensures proper installation of cables, desktop operating systems, and/or appropriate software.
  • Instructs users in the use of desktop equipment and software; identifies and communicates training needs.
  • Contributes to the creation of support processes, procedures, and documentation;  assists with the development of desktop hardware and software standards;  assists in the coordination of  routine projects, including designing and setting up the environment to test a proof of concept and writing test scripts.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent and one year of relevant experience in the information technology field are required. Two years of relevant experience in the information technology field is preferred. Experience can substitute for education.  Education can substitute for experience.

Primary Objectives of Position:

At the direction of the Chief Technology Officer, assist in maintenance and installation of hardware, software and related information technology devices. Provide support for the Workforce Center system network. Provide technical assistance and training resources to Workforce Center staff.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide system support to users, coordinate problem resolution. Respond to requests for technical support via phone, email or in person.
  • Travel to Local Area III workforce center offices and Board office on a weekly basis to provide support to local staff.
  • Install, upgrade, troubleshoot and repair PCs, peripherals and printers.
  • Provide training resource for the use of systems and software to Workforce Center staff.
  • Assist in the maintenance of systems/data accessibility, security, confidentiality and integrity.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of developing information technologies.
  • Other duties as assigned or needed.

Qualifications:

Education: Minimum of an Associate Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, and/or an equivalent combination of experience and education preferred.

Experience: Minimum of one to three years professional work experience.
