Whitney Bandel gave a presentation to BFA majors enrolled in an “Art Careers Seminar” course at Kansas State University on November 9th. She discussed her career path and transition from traditional Fine Arts to working and teaching in Web Development as well as how to get started in Web Development.

Information Technology-Networking, Cybersecurity, and Cloud

Computer Safety -Don’t Trust the Internet- On October 25th, 2023, 6 students from the JCCC Cybersecurity Club presented on how to stay safe on the internet in the CoLab. Included in the discussion were password managers, shopping online safely, Chat GPT vulnerabilities, endpoint device security, deepfakes, and multi-factor authentication. Approximately 20 members of the campus and community attended the event. The event included a Q & A session. Daniel Long, faculty advisor, helped plan and supported the event.
