Duties: 

  • The Jr. Systems Engineer would enable the local workforce by provisioning, maintaining and troubleshooting various technologies they use. They would also assure best practices are enforced throughout the environment. The individual would be well versed in a support role and possess excellent customer support skills. The ideal candidate would have highly developed desktop support skillset and is ready to learn engineer duties as needed to supplement the current senior IT staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Helpdesk Duties
    • Day to day local customer support
    • Desktop/Laptop Image maintenance and rollout
    • Workforce Hardware and Software support
    • Inventory management
    • Update rollout and monitoring for all PCs
    • Documentation of policies and procedures
  • Infrastructure Duties
    • Maintain security standards
    • Mobile and Phone system management
    • Google Apps management
    • Update management and monitoring for all Servers
    • Backup recovery tasks
    • Active Directory account and GPO maintenance
    • Assist Infrastructure team with hardware and software tasks
    • Network troubleshooting
    • Documentation of policies and procedures 

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least three years’ experience supporting enterprise users.
  • Experience with Windows 7, 8.1, 10 administration
  • Advanced laptop and desktop hardware knowledge. HP, Lenovo and Dell
  • WSUS and SCCM Patch Management solutions.
  • Solarwinds Orion NPM and Patch Manager
  • Remote desktop management
  • VMware knowledge is desirable
  • Veeam Backup
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Active directory
  • Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills
  • Proficient in remote issue resolution
  • Requires excellent verbal and written communications skills and team oriented attitude
  • Understanding of basic Networking concepts and application

NAIC – Marketing & Web Design Intern

Marketing & Web Design Intern

The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) currently has an opening for a Marketing and Web Design Intern on the State Based Systems team.  The qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to:

Ability to:

    • Design and implement SBS print and electronic marketing materials, i.e. pamphlets, flyers, invitations, banner stands, etc. using Adobe Creative Suite
    • Executing email blasts
    • Support SBS event planning including train the trainer sessions, SBS Education Day,  luncheons, receptions and dinners
    • Participate in the redesign of the SBS website by designing and implementing web pages

The ideal candidate must be a college student working towards a degree in a computer-related field or business field of study.  Good technical abilities and experience using Adobe Creative Suites are required. This candidate must have the ability to work independently and possess an excellent work ethic.  This individual must also have excellent written and oral communications skills.  In addition, this person must be a team player who can manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.

This intern must be able to work 20-25 hours per week including throughout the academic semester. The pay for this position is $13 per hour.
