I. JOB SUMMARY

The Sr. Data Analyst is responsible for reviewing and validating data requirements, providing technical data solutions, and designing logical and physical data structures in support of business data needs. The Sr. Data Analyst must demonstrate the ability to analyze business requirements to develop high-level and detailed data, and access models, conduct business and technical data assessments, and document business metadata. Must have the ability to create and maintain conceptual data models, high complexity logical and physical data models and assist in the transformation of these models to physical database implementation.

II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create, document, and maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models for medium to high complexity projects.
  • Reverse engineer source system data structures for model sourcing
  • Lead definition, communication and governance of the data modeling standards
  • Convert logical data models into the first cut physical database models and coordinate generation of DDL with Data Base Administrators (DBAs).
  • Conduct model reviews with project team members
  • Work with IT application staff to define source-to-target mappings
  • Facilitate collection and documentation of the source-to-target transformation and business rules
  • Provide project estimation support.
  • Select appropriate data modeling technique
  • Create high-level scoping models that facilitate a cross-system view of data requirements for the large and/or complex projects.
  • Lead diverse individuals to come to an agreement about the definition, representation, sourcing , and delivery of data
  • Participate in data architecture sessions and promote integrated systems and controlled data redundancy.
  • Determine data needs of the enterprise as well as the data needs of the project.
  • Assist in planning data migration and conversion strategies.
  • Assist in requirements gathering and facilitate technical walkthrough sessions
  • Provide analysis support and recommend solutions of the data access requirements
  • Provide assessments and recommendations for data sourcing.
  • Assist in identification of data integrity problems and recommend solutions

III. REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of work experience in a Database management position (or equivalent).
  • 3+ years using data modeling tools such as CA ERwin, ER Studio, Sybase PowerDesigner supporting IT development projects
  • Experience supporting one major RDBMS platform (DB2, Oracle, or SQL Server)
  • College degree in a software development discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • Must work effectively in a team environment
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities and meet accelerated timelines.
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to guide junior level data analysts in their work effort
  • Must possess adequate leadership skills in order to lead and facilitate data design and enhancements efforts.
  • Knowledge of the transportation industry and related business disciplines are preferred

YRC Freight – Senior Security Engineer

SENIOR SECURITY ENGINEER

I. JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Security Engineer will serve as the lead technical contributor in providing support and development of capabilities in the Information Security Areas of involvement. In addition to day to day support and maintenance work within the team’s incident and request activities, this engineer will help lead the technical team’s activities around system design, architecture and integration of security frameworks with the company’s application development, and infrastructure teams.

II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install, configure, test and maintain Security systems, application software and system management tools
  • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
  • Monitor and test Security architectures, identify possible solutions, and work with “developers” to implement those fixes
  • Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
  • Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
  • Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level support
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

III. REQUIREMENTS

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
  • Proven working experience with all aspects of Active Directory (ADFS, AD Connect, WAP etc.)
  • Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX /Linux based environments.
  • Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows based environments
  • Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks (e.g. Tomcat, JBoss, Apache)
  • Solid Cloud experience
  • Thorough understanding of virtualization and containerization concepts (e.g., VMware)
  • Solid scripting skills (e.g., Power shell scripts, Perl, Python)
  • Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
  • Professional experience showing ability to research, develop plans and procedures, coordinate, schedule projects and prioritize work; demonstrating ability to respond to multiple projects within acceptable time frames, and ability to prepare and maintain accurate reports and records;
  • Professional experience demonstrating the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of employees and contractors, to prepare reports and to communicate ideas effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to proactively self-initiate and continually expand professional development of all necessary skillsets, as well as keep abreast of related emerging technologies that would be used from a wide variety of sources (i.e., self-paced online training, training materials, and some training courses as available)

YRC Freight – ServiceNow Administrator

Title: ServiceNow Administrator 

JOB SUMMARY 

ServiceNow Administrator will be providing support and development in our expanding ServiceNow environment as the lead technical contributor. ServiceNow Administrator will perform day to day support and maintenance, work with the functional team to develop solutions in ServiceNow and coordinate support and development efforts within the admin team. ServiceNow Administrator will also perform high severity incident facilitation activities as part of a matrix managed Availability team. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  1. General support, administration and maintenance of ServiceNow platform and associated applications. YRC Freight currently uses the following modules within the Fuji release: Incident, Problem & Change Management, Lite CMDB/Asset Management, Service Catalog/Request, CMS Self Service Portal and Knowledge Management
  2. Work closely with ServiceNow functional team members to build requested items and tasks using workflows to manage processes from the customer to the fulfillment teams.
  3. Work closely with ServiceNow functional team members to configure and improve core application capabilities
  4. Work directly with end users to resolve support issues within ServiceNow
  5. Monitor health, usage and overall compliance of ServiceNow and its applications
  6. Develop systems integrations and process automation
  7. Design, create and configure Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts and ACLs including advanced scripting of each (including CMS and advanced integrations)
  8. Design, create and configure Notifications, UI pages, UI Macros, Script Includes, Formatters, etc. in ServiceNow
  9. Configure and manage Discovery and Orchestration (desired future state)
  10. Coordinate application and platform upgrades
  11. Share technical best practices to the immediate and extended teams for consistent coding practices
  12. Facilitates the resolution of high severity IT problem events to minimize customer impact.  Responsibilities include participating in rotating on-call support process.
  13. Performs analysis of incident and problem events to identify trends and service improvement opportunities.  Develops recommendations based upon analysis and drives organizational efforts to implement.
  14. Facilitates problem post mortem exercises to identify causal factors and root causes.  Works with internal IT users to develop and implement corrective actions.

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, a similar technical discipline or comparable experience
  2. 5 – 8 years’ experience as a technical resource in delivery engagements; 2 years technical lead experience
  3. Minimum 2-3 years direct experience as a ServiceNow administrator configuring core ServiceNow modules in an enterprise environment including the delegation of groups, modification of CMS, workflows, business rules, UI actions, UI policies, ACLs, dictionary, catalog items and updates of all other existing solutions requiring revisions
  4. Possess an in-depth knowledge of the technical implementation of various ServiceNow modules including: Incident, Problem & Change Management, Service Catalog, Knowledge Management, Configuration Management, Reporting, LDAP, SSO, MID Server, Inbound / Outbound emails and Discovery
  5. ServiceNow System Administrator Certification – required; Implementation Specialist Certification – preferred
  6. ITIL V3 Foundation Certification preferred
  7. Knowledge, Skills and Availability
  8. Must be technically savvy and able to design and build applications that meet business goals and objectives
  9. Proven experience designing, implementing and customizing a web architected, n-tiered enterprise application
  10. Experience creating ServiceNow update sets, promoting and testing through multiple instances and into production.
  11. Experience creating and maintaining customer facing portals using Content Management Systems in ServiceNow
  12. Familiar with Service Oriented architecture and web services integration (SOAP, WSDL, REST)
  13. Experience with JavaScript, XML, HTML
  14. Familiar with LDAP, MS Active Directory, ADFS and integration with ServiceNow
  15. Flexibility to work with a variety of personalities and styles
  16. Team player
